A Support Program for Academic Talent

We offer excellence scholarships for both French and international students, designed to encourage and support outstanding academic paths in the field of artificial intelligence.

This initiative is aimed at candidates with an exceptional academic record and a clear motivation to specialize in AI.

The EFELIA MIAI scholarship amount is from €8,000 to €10,000.

Eligibility Criteria

• Proven academic excellence, demonstrated through transcripts and letters of recommendation from faculty members.
• Enrollment in an M2 program listed here, at Université Grenoble Alpes or Grenoble INP-UGA.
• A well-defined academic plan and strong ambition in the field of artificial intelligence.
• Attendance at the information meeting on campus in September 2025. For distance learning master's programs, a video conference will be organized, and attendance will be required.
• The scholarship is not compatible with an apprenticeship.

Regarding the M2 scholarship, the Master 2 programs consist of two semesters:

• Approximately 5 months of coursework
• 5 months dedicated to a research thesis

The research thesis, conducted as an internship during the second semester, must be strongly connected to AI.

How to Apply?

• The EFELIA MIAI scholarship applicants have to complete an online application form.
• The submission platform for the 2025-2026 academic year will open in April 2025.

• A detailed CV
• A motivation letter outlining their academic project and interest in artificial intelligence
• Their most recent academic transcripts
• One or more letters of recommendation

• Applications must be submitted by May, 30th.
• EFELIA-MIAI scholarship Committee ranks excellent candidates who have been admitted in M2 at University Grenoble Alpes or INP-UGA for 2025-2026.
• The selection board will take place in early June 2025.
• You will be informed of the award results after each admission round.

• The scholarship is conditional on acceptance on your acceptance into the Master's program
• You must apply separately to the master's programs, following their application requirements
• If you are not accepted into the Master’s program indicated in your scholarship application, you will not be eligible for the scholarship.
• Please note that students will not receive an EFELIA-MIAI grant during their internship.
• The scholarship grant is allocated for the first semester only, and will not be received during the second semester / research thesis.
