Society Facing the Challenge of AI
The goal of this course is to explain why artificial intelligence (AI) requires philosophy or philosophical reflection. The deployment of AI constitutes a major challenge for contemporary societies.

March 11: What problems does AI pose for philosophy?
With Thierry Ménissier, Professor of Political Philosophy, IAE G INP / UGA & Institute of Philosophy of Grenoble (IPhiG), Scientific Director of the Ethics & AI Chair, MIAI.
This lecture will exceptionally take place at the downtown auditorium.
March 25: Can we escape AI?
With Antonin Chaplet, Teacher and PhD student in Philosophy (IPhiG).
April 15: Is an objective or neutral AI possible?
With Ambre Davat, PhD in Signal Processing and Postdoctoral Researcher in AI Ethics, Lecturer in Information and Communication Sciences (ICM UGA).
May 13: AI, work, and social activities: a radical transformation or a predictable evolution?
With Chloé Bonifas, PhD student in Philosophy (IPhiG UGA) & Louis Devillaine, Engineer Phelma G-INP / UGA, PhD student in Organizational Sociology and AI Ethics (PACTE).
May 27: Can AI heal us?
With Léa Chauvière, PhD student in Philosophy (IPhiG).
June 10: Can ethics protect society from the potential harms of AI?
