2:00 - 2:45 PM : « Des biais sociologiques dans les grands modèles de langue » by Gilles Bastin (laboratoire PACTE), Professor of Sociology at the Institute of Political Studies, University Grenoble Alpes.
His research focuses on the sociology of media, sociological theory, and the history of social sciences, as well as the methodological, political, and ethical aspects of data use in the social sciences, particularly data derived from social networks and the web. He coordinates the “Algorithmic Society” Chair at the MIAI Institute.

4:45 - 5:30 PM : « Big Data, IA et la transformation de l’article scientifique en unité de comptage » by Cyril Labbé (laboratoire LIG), Professor at University Grenoble Alpes.
He has collaborated with major journal publishers to identify problematic, or even nonsensical, scientific articles.
His current research focuses on the detection of fake scientific articles.
Since 2021, as part of the European ERC Synergy project NanoBubbles, his work involves detecting (unintentional) errors and assisting in the correction of scientific publications.

5:00 - 6:00 PM : Presentation of the collective volume « Du Big Data à l'IA - 60 ans d’expérience en traitement des données, des informations et des connaissances à Grenoble » Published in the “Prométhée” series at the end of 2024.
