Artificial Intelligence(s): Interdisciplinary Approaches in Humanities and Social Sciences

Dates: March 31 – April 3, 2026

Venue: Maison des Sciences Humaines de Clermont-Ferrand, Clermont-Ferrand

This international conference explores Artificial Intelligence through interdisciplinary perspectives in the Humanities and Social Sciences. It brings together researchers from diverse fields to examine the evolving relationships between humans, machines, and society.

Initiated in December 2024, this conference is the outcome of a collective, multidisciplinary reflection aiming to develop an international scientific initiative in Digital Humanities within the Institut LLSHS. It is part of a broader partnership involving several research centers of the Institute, the MSH Clermont-Ferrand, KAP, and the City of Clermont-Ferrand. Four universities from the ARTEMIS network will also be represented, with dedicated sessions planned to foster international collaborations and future AI-related research projects.

On-site and online participation

The conference will be accessible both in person and remotely. Microsoft Teams links will be shared shortly.
Partner(s) : The event is funded by the Graduate Track for Humanities and Social Sciences, MIAI Cluster and co-organized by Paolo Dias Fernandes, Naïs Sabatier, Marcos Ramos Pinto, Khaled Zouari, and the conference coordination team.
