MIAI Cluster: Launch and timeline of the 2025-2026 call for chairs.
MIAI Cluster is launching a new call for chairs in autumn 2025, alongside a call for POC (Proof of Concept) chairs, a call for exploratory projects and a call for projects for the development and promotion of AI. Individuals may only submit one application as a lead or co-lead for one of these calls.
The chairs will include, unless otherwise justified, three components: a research component, an education component, and an innovation component.
This is a joint call for the UGA, UCA, and USMB sites.
Detailed provisional schedule:
Early September: Launch of the call for chairs via email through the departments, UGA mailing lists, MIAI mailing lists, and on this page.
Monday, September 22 (12:00 PM – 1:30 PM) and Friday, September 26, (12 PM – 1:30 PM): Information webinars on all the ongoing calls (chairs, exploratory projects, Open call...), which will be recorded and a replay link shared afterward. Content of both webinars will be similar.
By November 7 at 10:00 AM (Paris time): Submission of a summary of the project and proposals for external experts. Only those who have submitted a summary of their project and proposals from experts will then be able to submit their chair project.
By December 15 at 10:00 AM (Paris time): Deadline for final project submission via the dedicated platform (link to be provided).Only those who have submitted a summary of their project and proposals from experts will then be able to submit their chair project.
By the end of April 2026: Final decision communicated to the project applicants.
By December 2026: at least one-third of academic recruits will have taken up their posts
By December 2027: all academic recruits will have taken up their posts
